What is the Microshading Technique (also known as Powder Brows or Ombré Powder Brows)?

Microshading is a technique that uses permanent make-up to give your brows the beautiful look as if you were wearing Ombré style makeup, as pictured above. The microshading technique gives your brows the precise fullness that you desire and is popular because of its luxurious misty or powdery appearance.

Microshading, Ombré Powder Brows, and Powder Brows Are All The Same Service

There are so many names for this technique that it can be confusing. 😩

But microshading, powder brows, and ombré powder brows are just different names for the same technique!

How is it done?

A hand operated tattoo machine is used to insert pigment into the upper layers of your skin. Unlike Microblading which uses hair-like strokes, the microshading (Ombré) technique uses invisibly small points of pigment to create a beautiful powdery look to make it look as if you're wearing Ombré make-up.

How long does it last?

The microshading (Ombré) technique can last up to two years with proper care. Each person is different, so your powder brows may last longer or shorter depending on your skin, your lifestyle, cosmetic products, and other factors that vary from person to person.

Does it hurt?

As with all of our procedures, this is designed to be a gentle procedure with minimal discomfort. We use a high-quality numbing creme and most of our patients have few complaints about pain, with some even falling asleep during their procedure. However, every person reacts differently, and every person has a different pain threshold. But most individuals experience only mild discomfort.

Initial Deposit

This is a non-refundable $100 deposit. If you choose to complete the treatment, the $100 deposit will be deducted from the price of your initial treatment.

Your balance is $665 after you pay the deposit to book this appointment

This price is only available for clients that have had NO previous work done on their brows. Each appointment includes a mini-consult before we start the procedure, a 30 minute numbing period, then sketching the brows and choosing the pigment color best for you. Finally, the shading (powder) process begins. The 1st touch-up, 4-8 weeks after the initial treatment, is included in the price of the initial treatment.

Combo Initial Treatment (Microblading + Shading)

This combines perfect brow strokes that look like perfect natural hair with shading to give your brows a perfect powder makeup look.

First touch-up, missed appointment fee

The initial touch-up is free. However, if you miss your first touch-up appointment, then your rescheduled first touch-up will cost $60.

If you wait longer than two years, then you will pay the full initial price. Generally, I recommend that you do not wait longer than two years for your touch-ups.
